Highlighted features
Instant dog search
Use the top bar search from any page to find dogs by registered name, call name, or registration number.
Pedigree explorer
Open any dog to view full pedigrees, siblings, offspring, etc.
Trial mating
Build hypothetical pedigrees by selecting a sire and dam to see lineage and duplicate ancestors.
Show points
Check ISWS show points, major wins, and champion progress on any dog.
Account Creation Benefits
- Save dogs to quickly access them on the favorites page
- Save trial matings to your favorites as well so you don't have to search for dogs every time
- Submit Data Corrections for any inaccuracies you find
Understanding ISWS Show Points Display
The database shows dog's progress towards earning their ISWS Championship. In order to earn an ISWS championship, a dog needs two things:
- Two major wins (one of which must be an ISWS major)
- A total of 15 points
This is a very simple breakdown of how ISWS championships work, more information on how championships work can be found in the show rules at silkenwindhounds.org/show-rules.
Some examples of a dog that's in progress of earning their championship can be seen below.
Needs majors, has points
No majors yet and points still outstanding.
Has both majors, needs points
Majors are complete, but more points are still required to finish.
Only needs an ISWS major
Points are done; you just need one ISWS major to finish.
Champion badges
Completed titles display with badges for ISWS champions as well as altered ISWS champions.
Favoriting dogs and trial matings
Toggle the heart
Click the heart icon beside any dog name (or a trial mating name) to add or remove it from your favorites.
Find them later
Favorites appear on your favorites page for quick access.
Reporting data corrections
Use the red flag
On a dog's pedigree page, click the red flag icon next to the photo to submit a data correction for that dog.
Track your submissions
Your submitted corrections are listed under Data Corrections.
Submitting photos
Use the camera button
On a dog's pedigree page, click the camera icon next to the photo to upload a new photo for approval.
Track the review
Uploads appear under Photo Submissions where you can see statuses and comments.
FAQ
How do I search?
Use the homepage or the top search bar on any other page to begin searching. Type at least three characters and results will appear as you type.
Do I need an account to view pedigrees?
No. Public pedigrees are available without signing in. Any feature that requires an account will ask you to login or create an account.
How do I report a data correction?
Sign in, open the dog's pedigree page, and click the red flag icon next to the photo to submit a data correction. You must verify your email before you can submit a data correction.
How do I submit a photo?
Sign in, click the camera icon on the pedigree header, and upload your photo. We'll review it and you can follow the thread under Photo Submissions.
How do I validate my email?
Go to your Settings and click the Verify Email button. We’ll send you an email with a link that you can click on to complete the verification process.
Who can see my favorites?
Favorites are private to your account.
How can I track my data corrections?
Open Data Corrections to see any corrections you’ve submitted and their status.
